Blind Date by Thelma Hilton Pierce

Thelma Hilton Pierce is a Boston based playwright/actor/director who joined Our Place Theatre Company in 2019 under the direction of Jacqui Parker, She has written two one act plays most notably Blind Date and Elizabeth and Mary, Dressmaker and First Lady, which were presented at Hibernian Hall and the Calderwood respectively. She has written several ten-minute plays three of which are: Unpacking the Past, Final Road Trip, and The Two Malcolms, Detroit Red and Shorty which were presented at the Gloucester Stage Company, Hibernian Hall and the Calderwood. She has written three ten-minute plays that were presented as readings: The Gathering, Hair, and No Place for My Son. Ms. Hilton Pierce performed in plays during the Women of Color Festival at the Gloucester Stage Company. She wrote and directed three one-act plays for the Springhouse Senior Living Retirement Community and Mt. Pleasant Home, Happy Valley, The Missing Bracelet, and Oh Where Oh Where is Roxy the Dog as well as two ten-minute plays for a school in Boston, A Lesson in Perception and the Price of Friendship.
